Sigma Beauty Purchase July 2012

Published July 12, 2012 by MyEye4Fashion

Hey guys, My purchase from sigma came in!

I got the Performance Eyes kit, sample eyeshadows from their palettes, my FIRST brush belt, and the F82 round top. I’m really excited to use these items! If you remember in one of my recent post, I wasn’t sure which round top foundation brush I was getting. Since I already wanted to purchase the Performance Eyes kit and the pink brush belt <3, I thought I might as well! I’ll let you know how I like it.

Hope you enjoyed this post!

Until next time 🙂

BH Party Girl Look – Purple Frenzy

Published July 9, 2012 by MyEye4Fashion

Hey guys, this is my look with BH Cosmetics Party Girl palette! I used the deep purple, silver, and glittery black. You can wear this look with a nude lip, but I just mixed some colors to see how it would turn out. It’s looks like a light lilac purple in person, but in the pics it looks a bit pink.

Hope you enjoyed!

Until next time 😀

Foundation Brushes- Flat Tops

Published July 7, 2012 by MyEye4Fashion

I have quite a few flat top brushes (a few pictured below), some of them are stippling brushes. In my experience, I don’t consider them the best for liquid foundation, with regards to the finish I desire.

I mean regular flat tops do the job, but find the stippling ones ineffective. I feel like I’m just swirling product on my face; I prefer those for blush.

More recently I’ve been using the 727 brush from Sedona Lace, the Midnight Lace collection. I looks like a flat paint brush. I thought I wouldn’t care for it much after my experience with ELF’s Studio Foundation brush, but to the contrary I really like it!

When applying liquid foundation I feel like I waste less product and it makes it easier to build coverage. You can get streaky lines from the brush, but it can be quickly remedied by using the brush in a patting motion anywhere the lines are visible.

The next brush I would like to try is a round top. I think it would be great to buff in liquid foundation. One of these brushes below, I haven’t decided yet 🙂

**I personally own the brushes I mentioned, except the last two.

Hope you enjoyed this!

Open Toe Booties

Published July 6, 2012 by MyEye4Fashion

Hey guys, I was looking at some pictures of celebrities and realized there is an obsession with open toe boots. It’s not a new trend, it has been around for quite a while now. I just don’t get the purpose of them to be completely honest. It’s like if you want to wear sandals, fine; if you want to wear boots, that cool too, but both? Most times sandals and boots are oftentimes worn in different seasons.

In my opinion, in the summer time I don’t feel like the extra material around my ankles are necessary and in the winter I would like to keep all my toes, thank you! Oh well, for trends sake I feel people like them, but they are definitely not the most functional idea. I have some celebrity pics below!

This picture is old, but you will still see a look like this now. I love the dress and jewelry and the boots make the look a bit edgy, because as we know Rihanna is the edgy queen. The toes got cut off a little bit, but you get the idea.

Mary-Kate Olsen and Beyonce wearing the same open toe booties. They have very different styles, yet the are wearing the same boot. It’s quite interesting to see how people incorporate them into different outfits.

Amber Rose shows a very casual way of wearing them. Overall I don’t hate them, but I just think its pretty odd that they have become so popular. I don’t own any and I can’t say that I would never buy them, but I haven’t so far.

Anyway, hopefully you guys enjoyed this random post and stay tuned for more!

Until next time 😀
